This is a review of “Freedom Dreams”, an exhibit from the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia. One of the goals of the “Freedom Dreams” exhibition, in the minds of co-curators James Claiborne, the Fleischner Family Vice President For Engagement at the Barnes Foundation, and Maori Karmael Holmes, the Chief Executive and Artistic Officer of BlackStar Projects, is for the exhibition to “invite audiences to reflect on a larger question: what does liberation and freedom look like for Black Americans 250 years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence?” Read My Take Here.
